At the international level, the ‘Pyramid of Opportunity’ offers players progressing from the national ‘Junior Tennis Initiative’ the chance to gain valuable training and competitive opportunities outside their country. The Pyramid includes ITF/GSDF funded junior circuits, ITF/GSDF Junior touring teams, ITF training centres and GSDF travel grants.
This section of the website will go through each of the stages of the Pyramid of Opportunity in turn and explain in greater detail how the Development Programme aims to direct resources to best aid players. These programmes are designed to assist those players who show the most promise in both their on and off the court work with a view to building professional players of the future.
