BERN, SWITZERLAND: Wickmayer is pleased with the strength and aggressive play during her first match of the tie against Switzerland's Stefanie Voegele.  She felt challenged by her opponent, especially in the second set where she was unable to interrupt the momentum of the Swiss, but managed to focus to get the job done.

Wickmayer says it is an honour to represent Belgium and to claim the first point for her team.
