STUTTGART, GERMANY: Andrea Petkovic couldn't be happier to be playing first on the opening day of Germany's World Group play-off against Fed Cup by BNP Paribas giant USA.

The German No. 1 also likes to sit courtside and support her teammates, something which she feels is vital to the success of any Fed Cup nation.

USA's captain Mary Joe Fernandez and Melanie Oudin also give their thoughts on the first day's action that will unfold on the clay courts of Stuttgart.
