I love studying so maybe I would always be a student.

News and sports websites. No particular ones. I just go to some Russian newspapers.
What do you regard as your biggest achievement in tennis?
Probably the bronze medal at the OIympic Games.

I really like Angelina Jolie. She can play me.
What do you do when you’re not playing tennis?
Study. I am a student at the Diplomatic Academy. And just hanging out with friends, watching TV, surfing the web.
Where is your favourite holiday destination?
What is the best Fed Cup atmosphere you’ve played in?
The first Fed Cup title when we played in Moscow against France, full stadium and we won it for the first time for Russia.

Probably my family?!

Rihanna, Breakin’ Dishes or Only Girl.
Do you have any pre-match rituals?
Not rituals but I have a routine. I have a pre-match routine, warm-up stretch, shower. Putting grips on my racket and then a sports bar, my usual warm-up and then go on the court.

Probably Linkin Park, the new one.
If you could pick three people from history to have dinner with, who would they be?
Nelson Mandela, Vladimir Putin and Peter the First.
What has been your best Fed Cup moment?
Winning the deciding doubles with Anastasia (Myskina) in that 2004 final.
And your worst Fed Cup moment?
Probably the year before, losing against Mary Pierce in the semifinal in front of the home crowd.
