MARBELLA, SPAIN: Dominika Cibulkova analyses her gritty 64 64 victory over Silvia Soler-Espinosa which put Spain 2-1 ahead on Sunday.
"There were tough moments in the match that maybe showed that I'm better mentally," says the world No. 17, "and that was the key."
Soler, despite a disappointing loss, is still proud of her peformance this weekend after producing her first win over a Top 20 player on Saturday and displaying an aggressive approach in her second match against Cibulkova.
Daniela Hantuchova, who won the vital third point for her team, was thankful to be able to battle through pain to finish her match victorious, while her opponent, Lourdes Dominguez-Lino is positive Spain will bounce back from World Group II next year.
