Morita pleased to give Japan early lead

TOKYO, JAPAN: Ayumi Morita gives her reaction to putting Japan ahead in their Fed Cup by BNP Paribas World Group play-off tie at the Ariake Coliseum. Morita defeated Alison van Uytvanck 64 64 in the opening rubber, before veteran teammate Kimiko Date-Krumm extended Japan's day one lead to 2-0 with a 61 64 win over Tamaryn Hendler, who also provides her thoughts about the day's events.
