BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA: Paula Ormaechea plays as the Argentine No. 1 for the first time this weekend and is handling the pressure rather well:
"It's exciting, it's something new for me. I try not to think about it but instead just give my best on court," says the 19-year old who overtook Gisela Dulko and reached a career-high ranking of No. 112 this month.
There's a unanimous decision in the Argentine camp that they are the overwhelming favourites in their World Group II play-off against China. Regardless of the better rankings, captain Bettina Fulco has also been eyeing up their Chinese opponents in practice and considered them to be hard court players - a bonus on the clay of Parque Roca this weekend.
Fulco and Ormaechea, together with Florencia Molinero, also give their take on the difference between playing the zone group events and World Group ties.
