BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA: China's Yi-Miao Zhou was delighted with her performance in her first Fed Cup singles match, despite losing 62 62 to Argentina's Paula Ormachea.
Yi-Miao Zhou had never experienced such a boisterous crowd as the one that graced Parque Roca on day one of the Fed Cup by BNP Paribas World Group II play-off tie. It was also on her least favourite surface, clay, but the world No. 473, who has played Fed Cup just once before in 2010, thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Her opponent, Ormachea, who is ranked over 360 places higher than the 21-year-old, and although she cruised through to claim victory she admits to feeling pressure and suffering from nerves.
