Czech Republic and Serbia will go head-to-head on 3-4 November to find out who will be crowned 2012 Fed Cup by BNP Paribas champion.
The Czechs, who are the defending champions, have been led to the final by Petra Kvitova who has won her last 10 singles rubbers in the competition and was instrumental in victories over Germany and Italy this term.
Supported by Lucie Safarova and the doubles partnership of Lucie Hradecka and Andrea Hlavackova the home team have been a force to reckon with this year.
Serbia are making their debut in the Fed Cup Final but they should have a pair of former world No. 1s to call on in the shape of Jelena Jankovic and Ana Ivanovic.
The Serbs have been involved in two close ties so far this year, having squeaked past Belgium 3-2 before an impressive display to defeat Russia by the same scoreline in April's semifinals.
This will be the first Fed Cup meeting between Czech Republic and Serbia as independent nations. However, they have met three times when playing under the flags of Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia, with the Czechs winning on all three occasions.
