Georgia will compete in Europe/Africa Zone Group II after dropping straight back down to the tier following relegation from Group I.

Georgia suffered three consecutive 3-0 defeats in the round-robin stages at the Europe/Africa Zone Group I event in Eilat, before slipping back into Group II after losing its relegation Play-off to Turkey. Sofia Shapatova provided the lone highlight for Georgia, defeating Cagla Buyukakcay for her nation's one and only rubber win in 2013.
History
Georgia began playing Fed Cup as an independent nation in 1994 and are yet reach the World Group stages of the competition. Their best performances have been playing in Europe/Africa Zone Group I, which they have done on a number of occasions. Prior to 1994, players from Georgia represented USSR.
