Greece will once again compete in Europe/Africa Zone Group III.

Greece finished second in a tough pool at the Europe/Africa Zone Group III event in Ulcinj. In the crucial tie, Luxembourg came from 1-0 down to win 2-1, leaving Greece unable to reach the promotion play-offs. The team did end the week on a high, comfortably beating Madagascar in a ranking play-off to finish joint fifth overall.
Greece made their Fed Cup debut in 1968 and consistently appeared in the competition's top tier until 1991. Greece's Denise Panagopoulou is the youngest player in the competition's history, having played against Portugal in 1977 at the age of 12 years, 360 days (Fed Cup regulations no longer permit players aged under 14 to participate in the competition).
