Oman will compete in Asia/Oceania Zone Group II in 2013 for the third straight year.

Appearing in just their second ever season of Fed Cup, Oman scored their first ever round-robin victory when they defeated Iran in their final tie. They had losses against Philippines, Turkmenistan and India. In the positional play-off they defeated Pakistan to finish the competition in seventh place.

Oman appeared in the Fed Cup for the first time in 2011 and showed improvement in 2012 climbing one position to seventh.
