Russia will travel to Czech Republic for the 2015 Fed Cup by BNP Paribas Final, which is a rematch of the 2011 showdown in which the Czechs won their first title as the Czech Republic in a decisive fifth rubber. Overall, the Czechs lead the series between the two nations 3-2.

Russia booked its place in the 2015 Final with a thrilling victory over Germany at the Adler Arena in Sochi. With the late withdrawal of world No. 2 Maria Sharapova, it looked to be advantage Germany, but Barbara Rittner rested her two best singles players on day one and Germany fell to a 2-0 deficit. With the score level at 2-2, hometown hero Elena Vesnina partnered Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova to victory in the doubles to hand the hosts a great win.
Russia have been crowned champions four times - in 2004, 2005, 2007 and 2008. Prior to their first title, they had lost in the Final on four occasions, and they have since lost another two Finals, in 2011 and 2013. From 1968 to 1991, Russian players represented USSR and then CIS in 1992.
