| Fed Cup by BNP Paribas Heart Award |
The Fed Cup by BNP Paribas Heart Award is a joint ITF and BNP Paribas initiative and was first presented to USA's Melanie Oudin at the 2009 Fed Cup by BNP Paribas Final.
It aims to recognise players who have represented their country with distinction, shown exceptional courage on court and demonstrated outstanding commitment to the team during Fed Cup by BNP Paribas.
JUDGING PANEL
A seven-person judging panel will be responsible for short listing candidate players who, through their team spirit, fair play and commitment, best represent the spirit of the competition.

A public vote will take place on FedCup.com and FedCup.com/es to decide the winners. Only one vote per person will be counted.

DATES
In 2010, there will be an award presented to a player after the World Group first round, semifinals and play-offs, and also after each Zonal Group I event – in total, six awards. Each winner will receive a cheque to be donated to a chosen charity.
