The Draws for the 2008 Fed Cup by BNP Paribas World Group Play-offs and World Group II Play-offs has now been made at the ITF headquarters in London.
The ties will be held the weekend of April 26-27, alongside the World Group semifinals

ITALY * v Ukraine
Japan v FRANCE
Argentina v GERMANY
ISRAEL * v Czech Republic
The four winning nations will qualify for the 2009 World Group, while the four losers will start in World Group II in 2009.
