| ITF Fed Cup Nations Ranking - Overview |
The ITF launched a new Fed Cup Nations Ranking at the end of 2002 to allow nations to see how they compare with other nations in the competition. The ITF Fed Cup Nations Ranking is published following every Fed Cup World Group round. After each round, points from the same round for three previous years are discounted as per the description on the How it Works page.
The current rankings list is available in this section and is updated following each round.
The ITF Fed Cup Nations Ranking is used for seeding at all levels of the Fed Cup competition. However seeds one and two in the World Group shall be the Finalists of the year immediately prior to the year for which the seeds are being selected, and seeds 3-4 shall be in accordance with the latest Ranking.
All nations competing in Fed Cup from the elite World Group through to Zone Groups I, II and III will be ranked.
